Don't be satisfied with your average square deck for form and function. At Schlosser Home Improvements we can design and build a custom deck to create the ideal place to relax or entertain in your Indiana home.

Deck Design

We design all decks in 3D during the initial design stage. You’ll see exactly what your deck will look like on your house. Once a design is finalized, we then do all CAD drawings for HOA approval and permit applications and working field drawings so your deck is built with accuracy.

Warranty

 In addition to all the manufacturers warranties, every deck we build is warranted with a 5 year warranty that covers craftsmanship and labor, as long as the deck is properly maintained. We can set up an annual maintenance schedule once your deck is complete.

Structural

All of our structural members are hand selected No. 2 Pressure Treated Southern Pine Fir (SPF). We use only Simpson Strong Tie Z-MAX coated brackets and only ACQ rated fasteners, either in Hot Dipped Galvanized, Ceramic or Stainless Steel. Every deck we build is designed to meet a minimum of 50 psf (Pounds per Square Foot) total load and most times exceeds this value. Our hand rails are also built to withstand heavy lateral forces that might be applied from the impact of a falling person.

Decking

Whether it’s Pressure Treated, Cedar or any of our five brands of Composite, you can rest assured it will be laid flat and straight through the use of jigs and construction lines. We use only ACQ rated screws for our Pressure Treated and Cedar decking, and screws made specifically for Composites to eliminate “mushrooming” of the deck boards.

We supply some of the top brands of composite decking in the industry. We don't just settle for the stuff they sell at the local box stores. We proudly offer Tamko Evergrain, CorrectDeck, ProCell, LP WeatherBest, and TimberTech.

Full Customization

We offer many different options for decking material, decking patterns, railing designs, post caps, spindles, post designs, fastening options, and deck lighting, and if you still can’t find what you’re looking for, we’ll work with you to come up with a truly custom design that fits your needs!

What to expect

I, Dan Schlosser, will handle every aspect of your deck building experience, from our first interaction, to driving the last screw and cleaning up the job site. I don’t use subcontractors nor have any other employees to baby sit. Having the owner of the company doing all the work is the best form of quality control. My name is on the line!

In an effort to make this a stress free experience for you, we will now procure all HOA approvals and building permits.
